You have been wondering -and Googling- how to upscale and expand your already profitable coaching business. First, let me tell you that the strategies that took you where you are, will not take you where you want to be. To reach a whole new level of publicity, connect with the most aligned audience, and onboard high-paying clients you need to be visible where people who crave for and seek growth hang out. Dear, you need a podcast.
The podcasting industry is booming, by the end of this year, 2022 there will be approximately 424 million podcast listeners worldwide. Out of all those people, you can, and you will find at least a handful that are eager to invest in your programs. Now, you might be thinking “yeah, but how many podcasts are there?” This is a fair question, there are over 2 million published podcasts, however, there are less than 500,000 active podcasts. So, sister, there is enough room for you to shine bright in the podcast industry and convert those listeners into clients. You are no longer asking yourself how coaches grow, instead, you are asking how you can grow bigger and now you have the answer, but is it really an option for you?
Can you have a successful podcast?
What makes you stand out as a coach? How did you become the knowledgeable, profitable coach that you are today? I dare say that the answer is by being you, shining your personality, and sharing your truth. And that is the recipe for being an entertaining podcast host that people want to listen to, the hard part is behind you. While social media is a lead-generating beast that you should not give up on, remember I mentioned that the strategies that took you where you are will not take you to the next level. That’s why you are interested in exploring other options, right?
The next level is all about unlocking a new world. Podcast listeners are thirsty for knowledge, self-development, and growth, meaning, they are closer to saying yes to your high-end programs. Attracting high-end clients might be just one episode away.
How will you make money from your podcast?
Let’s put aside the speech of “with a podcast you position yourself as a leading expert.” Yeah, YOU ARE a leading expert because you already have a profitable coaching business and you have helped others achieve their goals. You have amazing clients and maybe even a waitlist. But as you know, in the type of world we are creating, sister, we work smarter not harder.
You will still launch and relaunch group programs, you will still have spots for 1:1 coaching opening in the future, right? Plus, you already have tons of content in the form of SM posts, blog posts, and newsletters that you can repurpose. This basically means that you have a lot of content for your podcast episodes and when the time comes. And the most important thing is that you will have another platform to share your life-changing message, your offers, and even offers from others (as long as they align with your values)
Podcasting vs Social Media Presence
The main difference is that podcasts create such a close relationship with your listeners, something that feels like a coffee chat with friends, and it is this closeness that makes podcasting an inherently strong and powerful channel. In any case, you will not be changing one for the other, you will be making your online presence stronger.
How to start a podcast as a coach?
There are many, many tutorials and resources to start a podcast HOWEVER, there is only one you, and your podcasting strategy should be in alignment with you and your business. Review all your existing content and use it to map out a successful launch plan and podcasting strategy. The launch looks something like this: Start with the basics, create a mood board for your visual assets, brainstorm names, research your equipment, software and hosting, learn how to record and edit, plan and prepare your episode’s content, plan and prepare your social media content, create a launch plan, get listed on podcast directories, record, edit, and hit publish! It sounds like a lot, and it is, so make sure that you have enough time for this. Or simply get someone to help you! So that you only have to worry about recording and planning your episodes.
To wrap up.
Podcasting is a booming industry, it is a gold mine and a very strong part of a coaching business if it is done with a strategy and with purpose. It is a long term strategy, tho, so you MUST be committed to your podcast. It is a lot of work and the tech tasks can have a steep learning curve so you will need either plenty of time OR an expert to support you in this journey. I am here to serve you, my work is dedicated to coaches and therapists in podcasting and, whatever your goals and budget are, I have an option for you
